The Village of Big Bend’s DPW was tasked with pumping a significant amount of water out of the Big Bend Industrial Park after every significant rainfall. Industrial Avenue, which serves the development, has become a “43-acre bathtub.” ATI recommended reconstruction with an urban section and splitting the Park into halves to drain the water to two infiltration basins, which would be capable of handling 3.2 million gallons of water in a 24-hour period. In addition, Industrial Avenue was widened from 22-feet to 30-feet and the driveways adjusted to accommodate large shipments to the Park.

  • Concrete curb and gutter

  • 6-inch asphalt pavement

  • Storm sewer system

  • Two infiltration basins

  • Widened roads to accommodate large shipments

  • Existing 22-foot wide rural section

  • 30-foot wide urban section with curb, gutter and skeleton storm sewer system
