Applied Technologies, Inc. (ATI) was founded in 1986 by three senior level engineers from large engineering firms. The company vision, established upon ATI’s inception and alive yet today, is “to provide high quality technical services with a personalized approach.” We are dedicated to serving our clients and developing lasting relationships, not just obtaining projects. This commitment is illustrated by our growing record of repeat business.

Over the years ATI has experienced solid growth, allowing the original three founders to continually add experienced professionals to the ATI team. Today our staff exceeds 40 employees, including more than 25 engineers and architects, many of whom have Master's degrees in their fields of specialty. ATI is headquartered in Brookfield, Wisconsin and has offices in Lake Villa and Oak Brook, Illinois.

Professionalism and service to the community and engineering discipline are high priorities at ATI, as several of our company members are active and hold key positions in the Water Environment Federation (WEF), American Public Works Association (APWA) and American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). John Callan, Manager of our Oak Brook office, recently served as President of the 2,300 member American Water Works Association, Illinois Section. Jim Smith is a past President of the 1,600 member Central States Water Environment Association. Members of Applied Technologies regularly present papers at state and national conferences.
